In the flow...

Hi Y'all. In this section I am going to describe or explain what's going on with the writing process. I'm open to your ideas and comments (when I get the blog set up to receive them). For example, this morning I woke up very early and couldn't go back to sleep. Still dark outside, I went to the garden room which looks out on our back yard, lit by flood lights. I can see the trees and the neighbor's house across the alley. Usually I open my Surface computer and start journaling. These pages begin as letters to God but often I "hear" God's voice speaking, responding to me with his wisdom. I don't claim special revelation, but these messages come up in my mind as if from somewhere in the background. It is always gentle but sometimes he confronts me or questions me in writing as I am typing. As I began writing this morning it had been a good while since I had journaled and I was missing this always intimate time with my Papa God. Soon I started reflecting on the ways I experience God and this quickly became a poem - "In Between." Watching the trees swaying in the wind, hearing the deep tones of the wind chime made a good beginning.
